Great North Run 2018
Having completed the world’s biggest half marathon all on his own the previous year, Deano the Dementiasaurus decided to take his mother along for all the fun of the 2018 Great North Run.
As ever, Deano and his Mam were delighted to have the opportunity to raise money and awareness for dementia research through their running.
Although this was only the second half marathon that Deano’s Mam had every competed in, she managed, at the age of 66, to smash her personal best by a massive 8 minutes, finishing in a time of 3 hours and 38 minutes!
As always, the people of Newcastle were absolutely awesome in their support, chanting for Deano and his Mam and generously handing out high fives all the way to South Shields.
By completing the Great North Run 2018,
Deano the Dementiasaurus and his Mam raised £733.70 for Alzheimer's Research UK
