Deano the Dementiasaurus completed the Preston Half Marathon 2026 in his latest effort to help drive dementia to extinction. This was Deano’s first race since his Mam passed away with Alzheimer’s earlier in the year. Living with and caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s has made Deano even more determined to raise as much money as possible towards finding a cure for dementia. So it was especially fitting for Deano to run in his Mam’s adopted city of Preston, where she lived for over 20 years. Deano was cheered on by the wonderful Preston public, including several of his Mam’s friends, who came out to see Deano in action.
