Deano does Preston Parkrun

This morning, Deano the Dementiasaurus completed the Preston Parkrun in the beautiful Avenham Park. It was a good opportunity to shake the cobwebs off the costume before tomorrow’s big race and drum up some support from the local running community. This was a special parkrun for Deano, as it is one he had done together with his Mam some years ago, prior to her dementia diagnosis. Retreading the same parkrun route brought back many happy memories of running together with Mam and Rosie the dog, and brought into focus why Deano does what he does – to help drive dementia to extinction!

If you’re free tomorrow and in Preston from 9am, then come to Winkley Park and have a good laugh at a giant green dinosaur trying to run Preston Half Marathon – Deano will need all the support he can get!
